About us

JTE Electric was started in 2007 by Jim Hughes as a small one man electrical company. Over the years, JTE grew into a family business.  Jim ensures each and every job no matter how small or how large, is completed not only in a timely manner but always up to the standards put in place by the National Electric Code, Chicago Electrical Code & National Fire Protection Agency. JTE will also ensure that we abide by the code pertinent to each individual village, township or city.

 

Jim holds a Master National Electrical License and has been working as an electrician for over 20 years. Prior to starting JTE Electric, Jim was a 134 Union "A" Card electrician for over a decade. He spent 5 years as an Apprentice in college-level courses learning how to be an Electrician  He has extensive training in all aspects of Residential, Commercial, Industrial, and Communications. He has worked in environments worldwide that range from the skyscrapers of Chicago to an Industrial Manufacturing Plant in Mexico, and finally down to family homes in the Chicagoland Suburbs. Jim is also a Licensed Paramedic and EMS Educator.
